Hello, We Are How Not To Go Nuts !!!

My name is Kamisha York, I am a wife, and mother of 3 beautiful children, one of which (my daughter Peyton has multiple life-threatening food allergies.  I decided to start this blog to help educate and advocate for other parents who are raising children with food allergies.

This journey began 9 years ago, when my then 3-year-old daughter Peyton ate a cashew.  Seeing my sweet girl experience the trauma of going into anaphylactic shock after eating a cashew scared me, but also gave me the urge to want to educate myself more about food allergies and anaphylactic shock.  We're just like any other family who's trying to navigate the world of food allergies, we have our good days…and bad ones.  But I always tell Peyton, this is the hand that life dealt us. We will take this and use it as a platform to advocate, this will not hold you back from experiencing the life you were born to live. Because of this, we have started a 501 (c) 3 in honor of Peyton.  Peyton’s Allergy Shield of Hope was established because I had a vision to want to help educate and advocate for families with children who have sever life threatening food allergies.

Please join me while I share my experience, recipes, everyday living, and allergy news!!
